2018 once again saw the Midlothian Science Festival continue to grow with over 8000 people taking part across both the schools and public programme.
As a charity we rely very much on and are incredibly grateful to all the organisations and individuals who support us.
We are a very small team of 1 part-time paid Festival Manager, 10 Creative Team Volunteers, 6 Committee Members and 5 Directors and over 500 volunteers!
2018 saw us work with many new community groups, venues, science companies and researchers. We are pretty proud of what we have achieved this year (a short report will be ready by the end of January) and we are already looking forward to 2019!
And of course a huge thanks to our Principal funders:
- The Scottish Government
- The Darwin Trust
- Edinburgh and Lothians Health Foundation
- Midlothian Council
- The University of Edinburgh
- The Wellcome Trust Centre for Cell Biology
