Black drawing of dead animals

In 1794, Scotland’s first Gunpowder Mill started operations on the banks of the Gore Water. It was closed shortly after 1861. Join us as we host speaker Joan Simpson, who will share her knowledge of those ‘gunpowder years’ in Gorebridge, setting them in their local and european historical context. A fascinating evening.
