Create a computer game with Kodu and share online!
Did you know that the video game industry is estimated to be worth £55 billion and the UK’s video game industry is the third largest in the world? Would you like to be a part of it?
Well now you can.
Students will use a graphical programming environment to program and build games. Programs will be created on the PC, using an Xbox controller allowing rapid design iteration. Students will create a range of terrains, worlds and characters, controlling the character’s movement, sound and vision using an intuitive icon-based programming language.
Kodu lets kids create games on the PC and Xbox via a simple visual programming language. Kodu can be used to teach creativity, problem solving, storytelling, as well as programming. Anyone can use Kodu to make a game, young children as well as adults with no design or programming skills.
This event is ticketed.
This venue is both wheelchair accessible and has wheelchair accessible toilets.
This workshop is offered in association with Computer Xplorers
