Programme Confirmed – Roslin Biocentre

An exciting programme on Fri 18th Oct including a talk by  Prof Sir Ian Wilmut, of Dolly the sheep fame, has now been confirmed.

Spaces for talks and tours are limited and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.

TALKS   (50 places – Adults age and 14+)

10am –Introduction to the BioCentre” by Malcolm Bateman, CEO, Roslin BioCentre

10.30am –  ”Ockham Oncology – Driven by Outcome, Defined by Expertise” by Theresa Bruce, Vice President of Global Operations, Ockham Oncology.

11am –From Dolly to Treatment of Human Disease” by Professor Sir Ian Wilmut, the head of the lab that created Dolly the sheep.

 

LAB VISITS (adults and age 11+)

Tours will take you through the fascinating labs used by the cutting edge start up biotech companies.

“Green Coatings from Plant Oils” (Verdex) – 11.30am and 12pm – 10 places

“Phage DNA and Vaccines” (Big DNA)– 12pm and 12.30pm – 10 places

 “Methane Bubbles Experiment”  (Ingenza)– 12.30pm  and 1pm – 10 places

“Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine” (Roslin Cellab) – 1pm and 1.30pm – 5 places
